History Museum of Armenia

The History Museum of Armenia has a national collection of about 400,000 objects from the Bronze Age up to the 19th century documents and weapons. You can also learn about the recent history of Armenia here, for instance, the independence referendum ballot paper. One of the most interesting museum exhibits is the world’s oldest shoe discovered in the area of Areni village in 2010. The museum, along with the National Gallery of Armenia, was founded in 1921. Both museums are located in the same building.
