Each year Armenian Barbeque Festival in Akhtala attracts more and more guests who come here to taste one of the most popular and delicious dishes of the Armenian cuisine – Armenian barbeque. The aim of the festival is to promote Armenian cuisine and to develop regional tourism. The visitors have an opportunity to taste various barbeques – beef, chicken, fish, pork, lamb, vegetable, etc. At the end of the festival, the professional jury chooses the best chief. The festival is accompanied by traditional music and dances.
