Vardavar

Vardavar is a religious holiday celebrated on the 98th day after Easter in honour of the Holy Transfiguration. However, the origin of the holiday dates back to the pagan times, and it is celebrated in every region of Armenia. On this day people pour water on each other. In Yerevan, it is celebrated at Swan Lake where the “water fight” is accompanied by music and games. It is important to have in mind that regardless of you location, you will most likely get home wet.
